Anti Smoking Groups
Here's what the Anti's are doing in your
area. Please use this list to write to your local politicians and media exposing the
Anti tactics and show that there are indeed two sides to this
issue. This anti-smoker movement is one that has been corrupt
from the start, oppresses a minority group, and is destructive to
personal rights/a free society. As these fascist factions banned
together to crush smokers, to insure Freedom we must once against stand,
fight, and unite, or submit to tyrannical rule. Fight Smoking Bans. Be pro active instead of
reactive.

Mandarin branded anti-smoking group 'militant' Author:
David Turner and Bob Sherwood Intro: Thirty-six years ago a
society that called for a ban on smoking in public places was branded
"militant, even fanatical" by a senior civil servant working in a Labour
administration. The government files were made public under the new
Freedom of Information Act, which came into force on January 1. . . .
Writing to Mr Shergold at the Civil Service Department's Welfare
Advisers Office, Mr Browne concluded: "I should perhaps add that this
society is particularly militant, even fanatical, and they write
incessantly to various departments on the theme of abolishing smoking in
practically every type of place imaginable." Mr Shergold replied:
"The fact that a majority of the adult population are smokers would make
an outright ban on smoking in public places unacceptable." http://news.ft.com/home/us
To: The Smoker's Club, Its nice to see someone writing
about what the anti-smokers are doing. Certain things though are
being lost in time. The smoking studies of 50's & 60's of which we
were shown in school, took rats and painted them with a supposed
nicotine tar. They all of course developed cancer. The tar they used was
later revealed to be a mix of nicotine and acetone. Acetone is a
deadly/dangerous chemical, it could be mixed with water to make it
deadly, and of course it would be cancerous causing water. Then
there was the smoking machines. They force injected the equivalent
volumn of smoke produced by a forest fire into each animal. A heavy
smoker would have had to smoke an 18 wheeler full of cigars
symiltaneously to duplicate these experiments. The Center for
Disease Controls computer was programmed to deliberately show death
statistics (SAMMEC). The original EPA report on second hand smoke
(size of a phone book), triggered several lawsuits because it was full
of falsities. Soon after becoming available they quickly withdrew it
from public access and came out with a version that only shows their
findings. In that original version it gave their definition of relative
risk which was as follows: An estimate of the unknown but believed to
the true....
Jack R. Houston,
Texas
Norm Kjono: In 1997 Norm Kjono filed a complaint
with the FBI regarding ASH and John Banzhaf's promotion of "GASP!
A Novel of Revenge," which presents a tested and proven plan to cyanide
product tamper with cigarette packages for the express purpose of
killing persons who smoke. In that promotion the author expressly state
that he had enough cyanide in his possession to kill 2,500 people. The
FBI responded 2 ½ years later (after Congrssional inquiry) that Banzhaf
had a First Amendment right to publish that promotion. It never was
about first amendment rights, it was about a federally subsidized 501(c)
(3) publishing a tested and proven plan to employ a Domestic Terrorism
Weapon of Mass Destruction. That's quite interesting in light of our
post 9-11 Homeland Security world. http://www.forces.org/ash/fbicomp.htm
Antis spin on the freedom issue Individual rights
advocacy in tobacco control policies: an assessment and recommendation
J E Katz Efforts to control environmental tobacco smoke (ETS)
could be assisted if the tobacco control movement gave greater emphasis
to the issue of individual rights. Benefits that may accrue from the
promotion of a clear individual rights perspective in tobacco control
include adding coherence to the tobacco control advocacy agenda and
winning support from those who may have been concerned about loss of
personal freedom, excessive governmental power, use of social coercion,
or the rights of smokers. Risks also attend to such a policy. It might
inadvertently assist the tobacco industry, stir resistance to ETS
limitation efforts, or confuse tobacco control supporters. On balance,
though, liabilities are outweighed by the ethical and operational merits
in tobacco control of a heightened pro-individual rights stance. http://tc.bmjjournals.com/cgi/content/full/14/suppl_2/ii31
Individual and human rights in tobacco control: help or
hindrance? Our goals in presenting these papers are: to
offer perspectives on how the concept and application of rights might be
relevant to tobacco control to examine trade-offs among different
approaches to rights in tobacco control to assess the moral,
strategic, and programmatic benefits and liabilities of a rights
perspective to evaluate options for implementing rights based issues
in various domains of tobacco control advocacy, policy, and programming.
